Summer Holiday Sessions
Summer Forest School Camps
Our woodland drop-off days offer young people aged 11–16 the chance to build confidence, learn new skills, make friends and spend time outdoors. Sessions include a campfire lunch and are normally £35, with the first 5 bookings available at a special £20 introductory rate, automatically applied at booking.
Ages 11-16 Time: 10am-3pm Dates: 28th & 29th July, 4th, 5th, 11th & 12th August
A full day of outdoor adventure, Forest School activities and campfire cooking for ages 11–16. Young people will take part in team games, nature-based challenges and hands-on learning, including building and managing a fire safely.
In small groups, they will plan, prepare and cook their own lunch and dessert over the campfire using ingredients provided, developing practical life skills, confidence and teamwork along the way.
The day also includes crafts, free exploration such as den building and tree climbing, and time to relax, socialise and connect with others. Designed to build confidence, independence and resilience in a supportive, low-pressure environment, the focus is on having fun, trying new things and enjoying time outdoors.
Lunch ingredients are provided, but please bring a water bottle and any additional snacks your child may like throughout the day, as we will be active and outdoors for most of the session.
We have a shelter on site and run in all weather conditions, so please ensure participants wear sensible outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear appropriate for the forecast. Closer to the event, we will send an email with detailed directions to the site, along with any weather-related advice and recommendations for clothing or equipment.
Summer Family Forest Days
Join us for our Family Forest Days – a series of themed woodland adventures designed to bring families together through nature, creativity, and outdoor exploration.
£20 per family, per session. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by a parent, carer, or responsible adult.Join us for a series of creative woodland family sessions, designed to bring different generations together through nature, making, and shared outdoor experiences. Dates: 30th July, 6th & 13th August
Each session runs from 10am–3pm and families are welcome to join us for the whole day or drop in for part of the session. We will have a rough plan and themed activities available throughout the day, but families are encouraged to explore, create, and participate at their own pace. The only structured part of the day will be our campfire gathering around midday, when we pause for a shared woodland snack and time together around the fire.
Activities are designed to be enjoyed side by side, encouraging creativity, teamwork, curiosity, and wellbeing while spending quality time together outdoors.
Families are welcome to book onto individual sessions or join us for all three woodland adventures.
Session 1: Boats, Streams & Adventure
Explore our woodland stream and become woodland engineers for the day. Families will work together to design and build miniature boats using natural and reclaimed materials before testing them on the water. There will also be opportunities for den building, woodland exploration, and creative play.
We'll gather around the campfire to cook and enjoy damper bread together.
Session 2: Woodland Creatures & Hidden Homes
Discover the smaller residents of the woodland as we create bug hotels, craft clay woodland creatures, and build miniature homes inspired by the wildlife around us. Families can take part in nature-based challenges, woodland crafts, and plenty of outdoor exploration.
Around the fire we'll share toasted treats and popcorn as we enjoy time together in the woods.
Session 3: Fairy Gardens & Woodland Wonders
Help us continue to develop our woodland fairy garden and create magical spaces inspired by nature. Families will work together to build fairy houses, create natural decorations, craft woodland treasures, and shape miniature landscapes using materials gathered from the woodland.
We'll finish the day with a seasonal blackberry crumble cooked over the campfire and share stories around the fire.
Across all sessions there will be opportunities for free play, exploration, nature connection, storytelling, and creative woodland crafts. Activities are suitable for a wide range of ages and are designed for families to enjoy together, encouraging meaningful time outdoors and shared experiences in nature.
Please feel free to bring your own drinks and any additional snacks you may wish to have during the day.
