This section brings together all Wayfinders policies in one place. Our policies are guided by our values and written using a trauma-informed and non-violent communication approach. They are designed to promote safety, clarity, and a strong sense of belonging for everyone in our learning community.

As Wayfinders continues to grow, our policies are evolving. You may notice that some policies are not yet available; these will be added and updated here shortly.

You may also notice that some policies sound different from those found in more traditional settings. This is intentional and reflects our values and beliefs. For example, we view behaviour as a form of communication and have therefore chosen to name our policy ‘Relational Policy’ rather than a ‘Behaviour Policy’.

You may also see a Play Policy included. We recognise play as a vital part of learning, regulation, relationship-building, and skill development, not something young people “grow out of.” Our Play Policy exists to ensure play is valued, purposeful, and safely supported as part of our trauma-informed approach.
